DL-Alanine

DL-alanine is one of the more than 20 amino acids that make up human proteins. It is the sweetest amino acid. It contains neutral non-essential amino acids with carboxyl and amino groups in its molecule. It is also the amino acid with the highest content in human blood. DL-alanine is the racemate of α-alanine, in which the mixing ratio of L-form and D-form is 1:1.

Functions

DL-Alanine is mainly used as a raw material for manufacturing vitamin B6. At the same time, it is also an important intermediate for the synthesis of some pesticides and medicines, and is used as a medicine for medical microorganisms and biochemical amino acid metabolism.
In the food field, because DL-alanine has the advantages of buffering, chelating, and preventing browning of other amino acids, it can be used alone as an additive, or it can be used with sodium glutamate, etc. to make compound flavorings or compound sweeteners. The manufactured nutrients and condiments are widely used abroad.
DL-alanine can also be used as feed additives and biochemical reagents.
