AHB won the BASF Pioneer Award for Product Carbon Footprint

On June 6, 2023, AHB was invited to participate in BASF’s China Supplier Activity Conference in Pudong, Shanghai, where we were awarded their Product Carbon Footprint Pioneer Award for our outstanding carbon footprint management and contributions to sustainable development.

BASF is the world’s largest chemical-producing company and a global leader in sustainable development. The conference is an important platform for BASF to emphasize environmental awareness, sustainable development and social responsibility to its suppliers. The main topics include circular economies, BASF’s Together for Sustainability (TfS) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) initiatives, and digital communications with suppliers.

AHB has maintained a stable partnership with BASF since 2013. We chiefly supply greenly sourced fermented L-alanine for BASF’s chelating agent MGDA. AHB also works with BASF and other partners in the value chain to promote circular economies, low-carbon development, and explore new drivers of green growth in the synthetic biology industry.

Under the vision of global sustainable development we share with our partners, AHB actively adheres to environmental social governance (ESG) standards and incorporates carbon neutrality goals into the continuous growth of our performance. We constantly set targets for reducing scope 1 and scope 2 emissions and promote our eco-friendly mindset and technology to other players in the supply chain to minimize scope 3 emissions.

AHB is proud of our continuous commitment to sustainable products and solutions, and the companies we partner with. We are excited to be recognized as a part of the green future.
